If your organization is considered non-profit or tax exempt, you may qualify for a donation if approved by the committee. Our funding is limited to supporting basic human necessities, such as food pantries, human health issues, police, fire and military protection.

We ask that all donation requests be submitted through our online system. You will then be directed to contact your local store if necessary. Only requests submitted through this site via the application page will be considered for funding. Requests submitted by mail, phone or email will not be considered for funding and those applicants will be redirected to complete the online application process.
Fuel

E85 has a number of clear advantages:
- It’s homegrown and renewable, reducing our dangerous dependence on foreign oil.
- It’s cleaner than petroleum-based fuels, cutting ozone-forming pollution by 20 percent and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 30 percent.
- It’s less toxic for the environment. Unlike gasoline, E85 contains no toxic compounds like benzene, toluene and xylene.
- Finally, it has fewer BTUs per gallon than gasoline (so your fuel economy may go down a little), but its lower price often makes up the difference.

Look for a label on the inside of your vehicle’s fuel door, check your owner’s manual or visit www.CleanAirChoice.org and www.afdc.energy.gov to see if your vehicle is listed as a flexible fuel vehicle (FFV).

Ethanol is a grain alcohol that can be blended with gasoline. Ethanol can be fermented from many sources of starch including corn, wheat, grain, barley, and potatoes. This is a renewable energy resource that is domestically produced, more cost effective, burns cleaner, and has less emissions than gasoline alone.

Flexible fuel vehicles (FFVs) look like regular cars, trucks or SUVs, but they’re equipped to run on any blend of ethanol from zero to 85 percent. Today, there are millions of FFVs on U.S. highways. FFVs are fully warranted and typically available at no extra cost to the consumer.
To safely and effectively operate a vehicle on E85, the vehicle must be compatible with use of alcohol. Aftermarket conversion of gasoline-powered vehicles to ethanol-fueled vehicles, although possible, is not recommended because of the necessary changes in component materials, the high cost and the need for extensive calibration.

An octane rating is a standard measure of the performance of fuel. The higher the octane level, the more compression the fuel can withstand before igniting. Gasolines are generally rated with an anti-knock index number that measures octane quality.

Absolutely, and these tips work no matter what type of vehicle or fuel you use.
Before you hop in the car:
- Plan trips to avoid rush-hour traffic
- Consolidate trips when possible
- Keep vehicle weight to a minimum
- Be sure to completely release your parking brake
While driving:
- Drive at a smooth, steady pace
- Avoid unnecessary braking
- Avoid “rabbit” starts and stops (quick acceleration and hard braking)
- Use fresh air from vents or windows for driver comfort rather than air conditioners
- Don’t idle for an extended time (turn your engine off instead)
- Drive in the highest gear that your situation permits and use the overdrive gear if you have it
Keep your car in good repair:
- Keep tire pressure at the manufacturer-recommended level (note: tire pressure should be checked before driving when your tires are “cold”)
- Check tire wear frequently as unusual wear patterns are signs your car needs service
- Keep wheels properly aligned and balanced
- Follow manufacturer standards for keeping your car tuned and changing your oil
- Replace dirty air filters

Yes. They are inspected and held to the same safety and fire protection standards as gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles.

Yes. Natural gas is a very safe fuel and used by millions of Americans every day. CNG has a higher ignition point combined with a narrow flammability range, making it safer relative to gasoline.
If a CNG leak occurs, the gas, being lighter than air, will dissipate into the atmosphere quickly, greatly reducing the threat of fire.

The U.S. has the largest natural gas reserves in the world. Natural gas can power America’s vehicles, homes and businesses for generations to come.
By converting to natural gas, you help create and support a demand that will generate domestic distribution, service and production jobs in America. The dollars you spend at the pump go right back into the American economy, not overseas to finance foreign economies.

Natural gas is a clean energy source. When used as a fuel for vehicles, its benefits are:
- 90–97 percent reduction in carbon monoxide emissions
- 25 percent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions
- 35–60 percent reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions
- Fewer toxic and carcinogenic pollutants and little or no particulate matter produced
- No evaporative emissions or odors in dedicated engines compared to those associated with gasoline or diesel fuel

Absolutely. CNG currently costs 30 percent less than gasoline or diesel fuel in a per-gallon comparison. What’s more, because most CNG comes from America, the markets for CNG are less sensitive to foreign events, unlike the volatility of petroleum-based foreign fuels.
Thanks to the lower cost of CNG fuel, converting your existing vehicle or purchasing a natural gas vehicle (NGV) generates an attractive return on investment.

Unleaded 88 is a blend of gasoline containing 85 percent 84 octane gasoline and 15 percent ethanol. It is similar to Regular or Unleaded (10 percent ethanol) with just a little more ethanol. Unleaded 88 has more octane than Unleaded and also costs less, making it the best value gasoline product for your vehicle.

All 2001 or newer vehicles can use Unleaded 88. In 2011, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) tested and approved the use of Unleaded 88 in all light-duty vehicles made in 2001 and after. The Energy Department test program was comprised of 86 vehicles that were operated up to 120,000 miles, each using an industry-standard, EPA-defined test cycle called the Standard Road Cycle. The resulting Energy Department data showed no statistically significant loss of vehicle performance (emissions, fuel economy and maintenance issues) attributable to the use of Unleaded 88 fuel compared to straight gasoline.

Kwik Rewards

The Kwik Rewards program lets you earn rewards and discounts just for visiting our stores. It is our way of rewarding our loyal guests.

– Option 1: Pick up a Kwik Rewards card at any Kwik Trip or Kwik Star location, then register it online at www.kwikrewards.com. You can also download the Kwik Rewards app and sign up with a digital card. When signing up online, you will not be sent a physical card.
– Option 2: Register a Kwik Rewards Account through the Kwik Rewards App without having a physical Kwik Rewards Card. After downloading the Kwik Rewards App and clicking ‘sign-up,’ you should click the ‘no, not yet’ option when you are asked if you have a 16-digit rewards number. When you register through the App without a physical card, our system will randomly generate a 16-digit number that will appear under the barcode in your App. To track visits to your Kwik Rewards Account, you will need to scan the barcode in your app or enter your ALT ID (phone number) at the register. (You will not be mailed a physical Kwik Rewards Card)

There are three ways you can find your 16-digit Kwik Rewards Loyalty ID.
- Kwik Rewards App: You can find your 16-digit Loyalty ID by opening the Kwik Rewards App and selecting ‘Scan’ on the bottom middle of your screen. Underneath the barcode will be your 16-digit Kwik Rewards number that starts with 70822.
- Email from Kwik Rewards: You can also find your Kwik Rewards number by reviewing any email you’ve received from Kwik Rewards. Your Loyalty ID will be on the top right of your screen starting with 70822
- White Kwik Rewards Card: Your 16-digit Kwik Rewards number is located on the back of your white Kwik Rewards Card.

- Kwik Rewards Fleet App: You can find your 16-digit Loyalty ID by opening the Kwik Rewards app and selecting ‘Scan’ on the bottom middle of your screen. Underneath the barcode will be your 16-digit Kwik Rewards number starting with 708221.

This item must be chosen as your 15th visit reward in the app, once you go to the register the pin pad will prompt you to accept or decline your reward after payment. Select accept if you would like to use 15 visits. After you select accept, the visits will be deducted from your rewards app.

Fuel Rewards

You can earn fuel discounts by purchasing qualifying in-store items. For a complete list of promotions, visit www.kwiktrip.com/savings/fuel-discounts
Fuel discounts can only be used once on a single fuel purchase and cannot exceed 30 gallons. Ex: You cannot combine 10 gallons from pump #1 and 20 Gallons from pump #2 to use a discount on the combined 30 gallons. Fuel discounts expire 30 days after they have been earned.

Before fueling, insert your Kwik Rewards card or choose the selection for alternative ID. Then select your payment method. If you are redeeming fuel discounts at the pump, follow the on-screen prompts.

The base Kwik Rewards card can only be used on any pump under the main canopy.

The Kwik Rewards base card is not a credit/debit card. However, we do offer a Kwik Rewards Plus Credit/Debit card where you can receive instant fuel and in-store discounts.

Unfortunately no. The cards must be ordered from the corporate office. When your account is set up you will be given a user ID and password so that you can place orders online. You can also place orders by emailing us at fundraising@kwiktrip.com.

Undercarriage flush, presoak, high-pressure wash or soft foam wash, triple shine vehicle enhancer/cleaner, spot-free rinse and 95-second super dry. Wash amenities vary slightly by location. A 5-count ULTIMATE car wash card retails for $40.

Acceptable forms of payment are check or ACH checking account. With the ACH option, funds can either be withdrawn from the bank account you provide on the next business day after your order is shipped or 30 days after your order is shipped.

Kwik Charge

The CCS1 (Combined Charging System Type 1) connector is primarily used in North America to support both Level 2 (AC) and Level 3 (DC) charging.

The NACS (North American Charging Standard) connector is otherwise known as the “Tesla connector.” This connector was introduced by Tesla and has recently gained traction in North America. We are seeing charging networks and automakers begin to adopt NACS.

The connectors are labeled on the charger and on screen.
- The CCS1 connector is located on the left side of the charger.
- The NACS connector is located on the right of the charger.

- Park in the allocated Kwik Charge™ parking bays. You should ensure that the connector port on the vehicle is on the correct side for the charger. Avoid pulling the charging cable across your vehicle. Charging cables are heavy and may cause damage if pulled across your vehicle.
- Remove the relevant connector and connect this to the charging port on your vehicle.
- Note: Once connected, you have approximately one minute to initiate the payment. If payment is not initiated within one minute, the session will time out.
- If the session times out, you should replace the connector into the holster on the side of the charger. Remove the connector and connect this to the vehicle’s charging port. Ensure payment is initiated within one minute of this process.

- Ensure that the session did not time out due to the time between connecting the cable and initiating payment.
- Note: Once connected, you have approximately one minute to initiate the payment. If payment is not initiated within one minute, the session will time out.
